Civilized Worldwide Filling More Than 20 New Positions

Los Angeles, California and Saint John, N.B. (April 25, 2018) – Civilized Worldwide Inc. (Civilized), a premium digital media and lifestyle brand that embraces and highlights modern cannabis culture, is recruiting to fill 20 new roles in Canada and the U.S. The company recently received an investment of CAD $5 million from Canopy Rivers Corporation, boosting its growth trajectory and spurring the need to augment its human resources.

“We can’t wait to welcome more top-tier talent to our teams,” says Derek Riedle, CEO and Publisher of Civilized. “As we attract interest and investment, we have a solid plan in place to scale accordingly with our growth strategy. We’re at a place now where we need more resources, and I’m excited we’ve reached this milestone so quickly.”

The company is recruiting for senior positions such as chief financial officer, chief marketing officer, director of audience acquisition, director of public relations, director of social media strategy and director of strategic partnerships. Other vacancies are in the areas of content creation, marketing, social media, research and sales.

Digital media and cannabis are among the fastest-growing industries in the world, and Civilized is gearing up to meet that challenge head on. The new round of hiring will allow the company to further develop the Civilized brand and continue to speak to the millions of people looking for information about cannabis and cannabis lifestyles they can relate to. Since 2015, Civilized has been at the forefront of cannabis media in North America.

Civilized will leverage new talent to aggressively implement its monetization strategy across its three platforms: civilized.life, a sophisticated news and entertainment website that reaches more than 2.5 million unique visitors per month North-America wide; Civilized Studios, a multi-platform video network available to 100+ million views that fills the void of broadcast-quality video and original series in the cannabis space; and Civilized Events, exclusive branded experiences for both the cannabis industry and consumers – from intimate dinner parties to large-scale events like the first-ever World Cannabis Congress in Saint John, New Brunswick June 10 to 12, 2018.
