Why Seth Rogen And Snoop Dogg Don't Do Weed Edibles

When it comes to today's cannabis icons, nobody's bigger than actor Seth Rogen and rapper Snoop Dogg. But neither one of them is a fan of marijuana edibles.

"I've done a lot of drugs," Rogen recently told Howard Stern. "The most negative drug experiences I've ever had in my life are from weed edibles. No amount of MDMA I've done makes me feel as fucked up as having one bite too much of a weed brownie."

And he's not the only one celebrity stoner who is edible-averse.

"I was talking to Snoop Dogg about edibles," Rogen added. "And I was like, 'You fuck with edibles, man?' And he was like, 'I don't fuck with edibles because they ain't got no off button.'"

Of course, Rogen isn't opposed to letting other people enjoy THC-infused snacks. But he does caution people about knowing their limits, keeping track of how much they consume and understanding that THC-infused food is often a crapshoot. Otherwise, you might freak out like he did when he ate one too many gummy bears and saw 'Rogue One.'

"Why is this happening? They're blowing up planets! What the fuck!?" he said to his wife - actor Lauren Miller - in the theatre.

After making progress on marijuana reform, the legalization movement has stalled in two New England states. Cannabis became legal in Vermont last July, but state lawmakers did not put a regulated market for marijuana in place at that time. So while adults in Vermont can possess, grow and consume cannabis, they can't buy it legally.
