Watch Bill Nye's Profanity-Laden Plea to Address Climate Change

No more Mr. Nice Science Guy. Bill Nye shrugged off his squeaky-clean image yesterday to address a very adult problem in very adult language. In a recent guest appearance on 'Last Week Tonight with John Oliver,' Nye discussed climate change and defended controversial plans like the Green New Deal in a profanity-laden plea to save the earth.

Here's what he said.

"By the end of this century, if emissions keep rising, the average temperature on earth could go up another four to eight degrees. What I'm saying is, the planet's on fucking fire. There are a lot of things we can do to put it out. Are any of them free? No, of course not! Nothing's free, you idiots. Grow the fuck up. You're not children anymore. I didn't mind explaining photosynthesis to you when you were 12, but you're adults now and this is an actual crisis. Got it?"

TIME magazine has just released the newest iteration of their '25 Most Influential People on the Internet' list. And while for most of these people cannabis policy reform isn't their key concern, most of them have still voiced their views on the matter. And when you have this much clout, even an off-hand comment can go a long way towards shaping people's opinions.
