Watch A Canadian Senator Confuse Joints With 'Tokes'

As this is being written, Canada's Senate is in the process of voting on a second reading for Bill C-45 - better known as the Cannabis Act. It's a do-or-die moment for Canadian legalization, and we'll be updating you as the vote happens. 

In the meantime, let's take a look at a recent Senate committee meeting. As VICE points out, Conservative Senator Hon. Nicole Eaton doesn't seem to know what the word 'toke' means. In the clip below, she uses 'toke' instead of the word 'joint':

A new study shows that people suffering from anxiety may be able to successfully transition off of traditional medications to medical marijuana. Nearly half of participants in a recent study successfully stopped using benzodiazepines after beginning medical marijuana treatment. The study participants were made up of 146 anxiety patients.
