Roger Stone Says Trump Must Make Jeff Sessions Fall In Line On Marijuana Reform

Former Trump advisor Roger Stone - and central figure in the ongoing Russian election investigation - says that The Donald needs to take Attorney General Jeff Sessions to task on marijuana legalization. During an interview last week on Real Time, the seasoned political consultant said that Sessions' anti-marijuana stance was "completely wrong." He added, "Candidate Trump said that we should let the states decide [marijuana legalization]. He was absolutely right. He needs to get his attorney general in line."

"Is that because you yourself are a Roger Stoner?" Maher asked.

"Only when I'm in the states where it's legal," Stone said. After the segment, Stone returned with a cannabis cake to celebrate Maher's 420th episode of 'Real Time.' Check out the full interview and a clip with the pot pastry below.

The fight to legalize cannabis nationwide should begin by helping veterans get access to medical marijuana, according to Massachusetts Representative - and 2020 presidential candidate - Seth Moulton (D). Right now, vets can't use medical marijuana without the risk of losing their Veteran's Affairs benefits, even if they live in a state that has legalized medicinal cannabis. In fact, so much as mentioning cannabis use to their doctor is enough for a vet to get their benefits stripped.
