Being a marijuana celebrity like Tommy Chong means that people are dying to steal a spot in your prestigious smoking circle. During a 2015 interview with Rolling Stone, Chong (who turns 78 today) opened up about some of the stars he's gotten high with - or near. Here's a selection of notable names.

The strangest member of Chong's illustrious smoking circle is definitely The Terminator star and former California governor.
"I would work out with Arnold Schwarzenegger when he first came over to America," Chong told Rolling Stone. "When he was the golden boy of bodybuilding, and he was probably one of the healthiest guys on the planet. If someone offered him soda, he'd spit it out rather than drink it, but he would smoke a joint because he knew it was healthy."
Schwarzenegger confirmed the story when asked about it by the paparazzi in 2008:

Chong says that he ran into the former Beatle at a house party after sneaking off into a bedroom to smoke a joint.
"There was a guy sitting on the floor by the bed, and it was John Lennon. So I walked over and I offered him a toke, and he refused because of his immigration problems. So he was sitting there in a bit of a funk, but on the floor. It was pretty funny....So, even though John never smoked any, I always tell people that I got high with John, because I did get high."
3. Jimi Hendrix
He had a similar experience smoking near but not with Jimi Hendrix.
"I was with Jimi one night and he wouldn't smoke pot, but he would be in the bathroom for a very long time, sort of incoherent and nodding off on heroin. He was a junkie. That's why I never went near heroin, because I've seen people like Hendrix, who was incredibly talented, cut his life short because of the stupid drug that kills you."
4. George Harrison and Wally from 'Leave it to Beaver'
Chong had a much better experience sharing a joint with 'the quiet Beatle' and the actor who played Wally on Leave It to Beaver (1957-1963).
"I met George at this hippie party way out in Malibu. It was really funny because, remember Tony Dow from Leave It to Beaver? He was Wally. He was at the party, too. So, I had the joint, I handed it to George, George took a toke, handed it back to me, and I looked and there's Tony Dow, Wally. He's waiting for me to hand it to him. And I couldn't resist, I said, 'Gee, Wally, does the Beaver know about this?' And he gave me this disgusted look, like, 'C'mon man, get off of that shit,' but he smoked up."
Harrison not only smoked with Chong but also collaborated with him and Cheech on a song. "I got high with George a bunch of times. And George played on a Cheech and Chong record one time, 'Basketball Jones.' That whole intro is him. He was a real beautiful guy."
