6 Things Kids Found in Halloween Candy That Are More Dangerous Than Marijuana

Every year around Halloween, various law enforcement agencies and crazy websites post warnings about children receiving edibles while trick-or-treating on Halloween. And while there’s no evidence to suggest this has ever happened, there is evidence of things far more dangerous than marijuana showing up in children’s trick-or-treat bags.

Here are six things worse than marijuana found in Halloween candy:

1. Meth

Even Jeff Sessions would have to admit that meth is worse than marijuana. And one woman in California found 0.1 grams of meth inside her daughter’s Halloween bag. We’re guessing whoever gave it out was going as Walter White for Halloween.

2. Razor Blades

There are multiple stories in the past of children finding razor blades hidden in Halloween candy. And this is bad because not only could the child hurt themselves, but they could hurt others as well. Much worse than marijuana.

3. Bullets

There was once a story from Ohio about a woman who found three bullets inside four boxes of Milk Duds her son received from his preschool. On the bright side, at least they didn’t include the gun as well.

4. Nails

You know what’s not a good thing to go through a person’s digestive tract? Nails. And yet one kid in Spokane, Washington bit into a candy bar and found a nail inside. Careful inspection of his candy and his friend’s found several nails, staples and watch parts inside.

5. Lighters

It’s actually pretty common for kids to find lighters in their Halloween candy. Not only can children hurt themselves with them, but it could lead to a dangerous smoking habit as well.

6. Glass

A few years ago a woman opened one of her daughter’s Tootsie Pops and found small shards of glass inside. But everyone knows playing with shards of glass isn’t dangerous!
