You can now add The Smiths to the growing list of artists opposed to President Donald Trump. In honor of Record Store Day last April, Morrissey - who turns 58 today - and the rest of the British band released an anti-Trump record.

Artists have often been accused of transmitting subversive ideas to fans by releasing songs with secret messages that can only be heard by playing the record backwards. Like when Queen allegedly slipped a pro-marijuana message in 'Another One Bites the Dust'. But The Smiths apparently wanted to be upfront about their opposition to Trump, so they expressed what they think of the 45th president right on the disc.

If you picked up the special edition single of 'The Boy with the Thorn in His Side,' you might've seen the sentence 'Trump Will Kill America' etched on the vinyl. And if you didn't get one, you can check it out in this tweet.

As The Guardian pointed out, the album artwork is credited to Esteban - the Spanish version of Steven. And that just so happen's to be Morrissey's first name. So he might be behind the message.

But those hoping to see Trump get impeached probably would've preferred to see that message printed on a different Smiths single.
