The International Church Of Cannabis Opens With Rainbow Colors

The International Church of Cannabis opened on April 20th, hoping to create a mind-alternating experience for members. The church is housed in a 113-year-old building that now dons beautiful rainbow murals painted by Spanish artist Okuda San Miguel and American artist Kenny Scharf. After opening day, the church officially has over 200 members who are known as Elevationists. They believe that, “an individual’s spiritual journey, and search for meaning, is one of self-discovery that can be accelerated and deepened with ritual cannabis use.” Cannabis, or “the sacred flower” as they refer to it, has been used in rituals for over 3,000 years in a number of world religions.

Despite being one of the most overweight countries on Earth, the United States is one of the biggest waster of foods on the planet as well. And part of that is because we're too confused to understand expiration dates. A survey conducted by researchers at Johns Hopkins revealed that many Americans throw out food before it's needed.
