The Second City Comedians On The First Time They Smoked Cannabis

The Second City is a world premier comedy club, theater, and school of improvisation, that is also home to some of the greatest comedians, from the likes of Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Keegan-Michael Key, Gilda Radner, and many more. The theater hosted “Always Legal to Laugh”, a night of comedy and cannabis with Civilized to celebrate the end of prohibition, by showcasing some of their performers.

The event was held at the famous Montalbán Theater for two nights, where the group of comedians performed iconic material from The Second City archives, original sketches about modern cannabis culture, The Second City’s world-famous improvisation, and even shared some of their own personal stories smoking cannabis. One of the comedians in the show, Jamie Moyer, shared one experience she had while smoking with her aunt, who packed joints in a box of tampons while on a family vacation to Hawaii. Every comedian and cannabis user certainly has their fair share of marijuana memories that may or may not involve family and comedy.

The new law is a game-changer for the agricultural industry in America as farmers can now start growing and selling the non-intoxicating cannabis crop across the country. But it will be a while before the United States can top the world's biggest hemp producer.
