The California Cannabis Industry Is Getting Together For An Industry Event Like No Other

Editors Note: The Advocāte event mentioned in this article has been postponed. Check the Advocāte event site for details.

This Sunday evening, August 21st, Cannabis industry participants and valid card carriers are gathering at an amazing Hollywood venue known as Wanderlust Hollywood for entertainment, networking, and most importantly to raise funds for key organizations in the state including California Cannabis Delivery AllianceLos Angeles Cannabis Task Force, and California Growers Association.

The event is called Advocāte, and over the course of the 7pm to 11pm schedule, participants can indulge in not just a traditional open bar, but a rooftop dab bar that promises free samples of the best the industry has to offer. There is also a smoking lounge for VIP ticket holders, who will enjoy VIP gift bags, and a silent auction open to all attendees.

Laughs will be provided by comedians Joe Bartnick, Sam Tripoli, Joey "Co Co" Diaz, and headliner Todd Glass, while the evening's soundtrack features a live performance by Minnesota native MOD SUN.

You can get geared up for the evening by watching MOD SUN's latest single We Do This Shit (feat. DeJ Loaf), or you can just go directly to get your tickets at the event website before it sells out.

After making progress on marijuana reform, the legalization movement has stalled in two New England states. Cannabis became legal in Vermont last July, but state lawmakers did not put a regulated market for marijuana in place at that time. So while adults in Vermont can possess, grow and consume cannabis, they can't buy it legally.
