With more than 8.5 million albums sold and four Grammy awards under his belt, Sam Smith is a bona fide pop star. He's just added another huge milestone to his career with the release of his video for "Writing's on the Wall", the theme from the upcoming James Bond film, Spectre.

It might be the most bummed-out Bond tune to date. "Writing's on the Wall", like "Stay With Me" and "I'm Not the Only One" before it, is a downtempo, heartbroken ballad about love and loss (well, mostly loss). But don't take our word for it. Behold - the seven saddest Sam Smith faces from his new video.

"Sometimes I just like to take a walk along the shore and, y'know, think about my pain."

"I've got a frog in my throat. A sad, sad frog."

"Are there coffins behind me? No one told me there would be coffins behind me."

"Is that my ex? Oh God, it is. We haven't talked since we broke up."

"OK, OK, stay cool. Just look at your hand and keep the sadness inside."

"Please don't film me. I'm having an ugly cry."

"You filmed that, didn't you. Typical."

Your move, Tobey Maguire.
