The world is filled with information that’s constantly being shared by people all across the world simply because they like what they see. Now, in the digital age, this information is being posted, published, and shared at an even faster rate because everything is so easily available online. Social media also contributes to this mass sharing of information because everyday a new article or new video goes viral, with millions of views and likes. At this particular moment in time, bad news is spreading faster than you can process it, but fortunately there’s still a plethora of facts and information that are sure to make anyone’s day better.
For instance, when asked about his favorite fan moment, “Where the Wild Things Are” author Maurice Sendak recalls a story that’s sure to make anyone smile. “I answer all my children’s letters — sometimes very hastily — but this one I lingered over. I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it… Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.” That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything.”
