The 420 Games Achieve, Support, and Educate

The 420 Games first launched in August 2014 in legalized states such as California. The event, which includes a 4.20 mile fun run, was created by entrepreneur Jim McAlpine to challenge stereotypes calling cannabis users unmotivated “stoners” and to de-stigmatize the millions who consume cannabis in a healthy and responsible way. The 420 Games started with just 200 participants and saw a significant increase in 2016 with over 10,000 participants in four states and six cities. Hoping to continue growing, the first leg of this year’s 420 Games tour is in Los Angeles on April 1st. The Games will start at The Santa Monica Pier heading toward Venice Beach, and finish back at The Pier for a post-run Beer Tasting. The event after the run will also include music, speeches, stand-up comedy, and industry sponsors.

Adrienne, a budtender at the Higher Path Collective in Los Angeles, is used to dealing with customers who might be too high. Whether they come into the dispensary confused about what they want to buy, or they're calling in when they eat too much of an edible, Adrienne knows just what to say to help them calm down. A word of advice: Never eat the whole edible, if you're not sure how it will affect you.
