Ted Cruz - former Republican presidential candidate, senator for Texas, cringe-inducing joke teller - is back in the news, thanks to a slip of the thumb.

Last night, some eagle-eyed Twitter users noticed that Cruz's official, verified Twitter account had liked a post from the aptly-named @SexuallPosts [sic] account. We don't mean to kinkshame Senator Cruz (or whomever's running his Twitter) - after all, masturbation is healthy!

But this is a man who, during his tenure as Texas' solicitor general, argued that Texans didn't have the right to buy dildos. Later he said that President Obama is "an enemy of traditional marriage," and he used transphobic BS about bathrooms to try and rally his base during the 2016 election campaign. In the opinion of this writer, Cruz deserves - at the very least - a solid ribbing over his sexual posting.

Here are some of the best Twitter takes on Cruz's erotic adventures. In this age of constant crisis, it feels like a healthy release.

Some offered Cruz advice in this trying time:

Elsewhere, a fanciful imagining of Mike Pence doing the same thing:

Cruz's old roommate chimed in:

As did the infamous SexuallPosts account:

Hell, even a Seinfeld fan account got into it:

Anyhow. Ted, if you're reading this...it really sucks to have other people judging your sex life, huh?
