60 Million People Will Be Able to Stream the NFL Next Year

Last football season, Twitter streamed Thursday night football games but now, the NFL is moving on with Amazon. Their $50 million agreement is five times the amount Twitter paid for the rights last season. The two companies made this deal to stream Thursday night football games on Amazon for 10 games next season. These live sports games will only be available for Amazon Prime members who will be able to stream games produced by either CBS or NBC, which will also air live on TV on both channels and the NFL Network. Data estimates that 60 million households use Amazon Prime, which the NFL hopes will help them reach younger audiences.
