Spooky Strains For The Premiere Of The New Ghostbusters Movie

After much anticipation (and fan unrest) the new Ghostbusters movie starring Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig hits theatres this Friday. To celebrate - or lament - the event, we've put together a selection of spooky marijuana strains to get you in the right spirit for the premiere.

1. Ghost OG

This citrusy offshoot of OG Kush offers a balanced head and body high that is potent but not overpowering. And it's ability to combat insomnia and anxiety will be handy if you get freaked out after re-watching the original Ghostbusters.

2. Slimer OG

According to Egon Spengler, crossing proton pack streams can cause a catastrophic explosion. But green thumbs know that crossing strains can lead to wonderful new cannabis creations like Slimer OG, an indica-dominant hybrid that enlivens the senses. But make sure you have plenty of munchies on hands because this bud can make you gobble up food like its namesake.

3. Mad Dawg

This earthy hybrid relaxes the body and packs a potent cerebral high. But don't let its calming nature fool you. Having a few too many puffs can lead to couch lock.

4. Ghost Ship

Need to relax and think things over before tweeting your review of the new "Ghostbusters" film? Consider having a puff of the indica-dominant Ghost Ship, which lets the body unwind while enlivening the mind. We wouldn't be surprised if Cheech Marin smoked it before his cameo in Ghostbusters 2 as a dock worker watching the Titanic finally arrive.

5. Marshmallow

Arguably the stickiest of the ickies on our list, Marshmallow has a white frost coating and milky trichomes. The taste is sweet, but the high can be heavy as it relaxing effects spread through your body and get you ready for a nap. So pace yourself with this one or you might feel like you've been walloped by a melted Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man.
