South African Restaurant Chain Introduces CBD Pizza

Col’Cacchio, a chain of Italian restaurants in South Africa, has announced that they will be offering CBD-infused pizza at their restaurants.

They announced it on Twitter, promising the news at, you guessed it, 4:20am.

This isn’t the first time cannabis and pizza have been combined - Cambodia’s ‘happy pizza’ comes to mind - but this type won’t get you high.

“The pizzas will be drizzled with AfricanPure Cannabidiol (CBD oil) which contains no THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) or synthetic chemicals, making it absolutely safe to enjoy,"  said Kinga Baranowska, co-founder of Col’Cacchio. "Customers will also be able to add CBD oil to any other dish on the menu at an additional cost of R25.”

As IOL reports, AfricanPure is one of CBD brands that has sprung up in South Africa since the country legalized CBD.

Before enlisting in the military, this veteran saw cannabis as just another recreational activity to do with friends. But after his service it became a tool for massive healing both physical and emotional ailments. From battle scars to anxiety, and other traumas, cannabis is a versatile medicine that is known to be a life saver specifically for veterans — many of whom suffer from PTSD, the symptoms of which (like nightmares and insomnia) can be treated with cannabis.
