'Rough Night' Star Jillian Bell Opens Up About Her Disastrous First Time With Weed

Jillian Bell recently tried marijuana for the first time and it did not go well. While filming the comedy 'Rough Night' - which opened last weekend - Bell decided to unwind off set one day by hanging out with Mary Jane.

"I decided at 32 to try marijuana for the first time," Bell told James Corden yesterday. "I had a girlfriend come into town and we had a night of going out and having pasta. And I watched the Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe."

So far so good. But when her friend dozed off for the evening, Bell started having a rough night in real life. "My eyes went wide and I was very nervous. And I decided to turn on the TV to calm myself down."

But that plan backfired when the movie she watched triggered an existential guilt trip. "The only thing I could find was 'Wolf of Wall Street.' And it was the scene where Leonardo DiCaprio is doing a certain drug off a woman's bottom. And I was like, 'I'm one of you! That's me. That's me now.' That's the Catholic guilt."

So if you're a first timer, maybe put on something a little more mellow -- like 'The Big Lebowski' or 'Dazed and Confused'.

In a tweet last night President Donal Trump announced his new hire for White House Chief of Staff, Mick Mulvaney. Mulvaney is currently the director of the Office of Management and Budget as well as the Acting Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Once he starts the new job, Mulvaney may just be one of the biggest cannabis reform supporters in the White House, a potential boon for the legalization movement.
