A Pegasus Airlines passenger plane skidded off the runway of a Turkish coastal airport late on January 13, 2018. The Boeing 737-800 aircraft, flying from Ankara to Trabzon, slid down the edge of a cliff, stopping just short of the Black Sea. Footage of the incident shows all 162 passengers evacuating the plane minutes after landing, “We stayed inside the plane for at least 20 minutes waiting for someone to help us." Some passengers recall hearing a loud noise just after landing, which caused the entire plane to shake and advance on the runway. Fortunately, all 162 passengers and 6 crew members were evacuated safely, though the cause of the accident is not yet known.
