As you can see, there is a huge number of people coming to California each year. But in 2017, the majority came from populous U.S. states, especially those on the west coast. Additionally, there was a large number of people who came from countries internationally like China, Mexico, and India.

You can see who is coming to your state using the tool on the website. Click around, and you'll see you can also look into demographics, including age, citizenship, and educational attainment.
