Netflix Just Dropped the First Trailer for 'The Punisher' and It's...Violent

While we are all probably pretty familiar with the Marvel superhero story arc of vigilante justice by now, Netflix's newest production of The Punisher seems to push the boundaries of the typical Netflix fare.

Jon Bernthal plays The Punisher, a man who seeks to avenge past wrongs but gets caught up in a him-against-the-world scenario that is common among superhero stories. But this production seems grittier, and more realistic than everything Netflix has put out so far. It has a bit of a John Wick feel to it, which should give fans of the Punisher comic, and fans of violence, exactly what they're looking for.

The trailer might be worth watching if only for how they sync a Metallica song with automatic gunfire. Either way, look for The Punisher to come out on Netflix later this year.

Lawmakers in Quebec failed to pass a bill that would have increased the minimum age for purchasing and consuming cannabis from 18 to 21 before the end of the legislative session. When the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) was elected to power in Quebec last year, they brought with them a promise to raise the legal age for buying and consuming recreational cannabis. Right now, anyone 18 or older can legally purchase cannabis in Quebec, which is tied with Alberta for having the lowest legal age for recreational cannabis.
