Michael Moore Wants the Government to Mail Free Weed to Every American

The US Postal Service is in big trouble. After reportedly losing $3.9 billion last year, critics have started calling for an end to the USPS. But not Michael Moore. The Academy Award winning director thinks he knows how to save the postal service: start mailing free weed to every American.

"If I were president, I would keep the US Postal Service," he told Seth Meyers yesterday. "I would give the mailwomen and the mailmen a job every Friday: they would deliver two joints to every mailbox in America, compliments of your federal government."

That task would not only keep mail carriers happy but also make the average American much more excited to check the mailbox each week. But Moore stressed that he doesn't want to go crazy with the cannabis giveaway.

"Just two [joints]," he stressed. "The country won't work if everybody is completely stoned. So just two, but it would give the postal service a job."

Moore also discussed how he would deal with healthcare and income inequality if he were president. Check it out in the interview above.

Recently the World Health Organization recommended that countries around the world reschedule marijuana and remove it from international drug treaties. And now the European Parliament is doing the same. The European Parliament passed a new resolution calling on member states to increase access to medical marijuana and increasing research efforts into cannabis.
