Method Man Calls Former House Speaker John Boehner A 'Hypocrite' For Flipping On Pot

When MSNBC host Ari Melber brought the Wu-Tang Clan's Method Man on his show, “The Beat,” one of the topics he brought up is the decision of House Speaker John Boehner earlier this year to flip from staunch opposition of legalized marijuana, to accepting money from cannabis lobbyists advocating for the drug.

“Oh, the hypocrisy,” said Meth. “Oh my god, what a hypocrite.”

After cracking a joke about Boehner’s infamous love for the tanning bed, he does amend his comment slightly a bit by acknowledging that many people are now coming around to the idea that marijuana has been “misjudged.”

As for his own views on the subject, it’s no secret that Method Man likes to smoke up from time to time—hell, he’s even made a whole movie about it. And Method Man says cannabis “opens up a whole new creative door” for him.
“I think some of the most creative people in our business smoke pot,” he added.

For new and experienced cannabis consumers looking for a new way to discover products, look no further than the Cannabiscope Wheel. Civilized caught up with co-founders David Schachter and Paul Shockley to learn how the idea came to them, what they hope for the future of the company, and how cannabis industry folk and consumers are already benefiting from the service. How did you get the idea for Cannabiscope?I had the idea while on vacation in Amsterdam in 2014 when I heard author Doug Fine (who's now an advisor to Cannabiscope) speak at the High Times Cannabis Cup.
