Marijuana Users: Then and Now

It's not that much of a mystery why people are turning to marijuana in waves recently. The medicinal and recreational uses of the plant are pretty much undisputed. But what is interesting is how marijuana users have been looked at throughout the years. Not too long ago, only hippies and stoners were known for smoking marijuana. Now, it's in the news everywhere you go, and the number of people using cannabis is only going up. It makes you wonder what the world will look like in another 50 years. But in the meantime, here's a fun little chart explaining what the population of marijuana users has been known for throughout history.

On Flatbush Avenue, tucked amidst the nexus of four iconic Brooklyn neighborhoods (Park Slope, Boerum Hill, Fort Greene, and Prospect Heights), medical cannabis company Citiva opened up their newest location at the turn of the new year. Walking through the shiny glass door, you’re first struck by the sleek tidiness of the front lobby. Both the dispensary's resident pharmacist and receptionist greet visitors as they clear patients (as does any medical dispensary in the country) before allowing them through to the retail room.
