Why Dogs Will Always Be Better Than Cats

Most dogs fetch sticks or tennis balls. But one ambitious pup in Mississippi recently surprised its owners by bringing home a haul of marijuana.

A homeowner in Laurel, Mississippi called the Jones County Sheriff's office last Saturday after the family dog came home with a suspicious package. The owner thought the baggie in the dog's mouth was garbage. But a quick nose test made him suspect it was marijuana, so he quickly called the sheriff. Deputies confirmed that the bag did contain marijuana - a pound of it.

Possession of between 250-500 grams of marijuana is a felony that carries a penalty of 2-8 years imprisonment in Mississippi, which is basically a life sentence in dog years. However, deputies appear willing to let the dog walk.
