Louis CK Tried to Get Pete Davidson Fired from SNL for Smoking Marijuana

If Louis CK had his way, Pete Davidson's comedy career would have gone up in smoke years ago, when CK allegedly tried to get Davidson fired from 'Saturday Night Live' for smoking marijuana.

Davidson - who has been doing standup sets to keep busy during SNL's holiday hiatus - recently revealed to a crowd at Boston's Chevalier Theatre that CK “told all the producers in front of me that all this kid does is smoke weed and he’s gonna smoke his career away.”

The situation escalated to the point that CK allegedly approached 'SNL' creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels and said Davidson “smokes so much weed that it makes people uncomfortable.”

Of course, calling out Davidson's behavior is pretty outrageous given the skeletons that CK was hiding in his closet. So it's understandable that Davidson is relishing his chance to have the last laugh now that CK's sex scandal has come to light.

“Then five years later this motherfucker’s been locking doors and jerking off in front of people,” Davidson said in the set on New Year's Eve. So it looks like he's made a resolution to settle old grudges onstage.

Few other entrepreneurs in the cannabis space have their hands in quite as many ventures as Lorne Gertner. Currently dubbed the "godfather of the Canadian cannabis industry," Gertner told Civilized, "If we could live through normalization, we could change the world." Hailing from the fashion industry, this Toronto native says he's on a mission to "make the world a better place through cannabis and design excellence." The only catch is, well, normalizing cannabis — and that's where Gertner's keen eye for style comes in. "In the old days, you were going to be different or you were going to be normal," said Thom Antonio, Gertner's friend, creative director, and collaborator of 35 years.
