Korn Introduces 12-Year-Old Bassist

One of the biggest metal bands, Korn, just kicked off its South American tour in Bogota, Colombia. Joining the band is their new bass player, 12-year-old Tye Trujillo. Just before leaving for tour, the band’s usual bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu had to cancel due to “unforeseen circumstances”, but will return in May for the U.S. tour. In the meantime however, Korn will continue playing with the young bass prodigy.  Trujillo is also the son of Metallica’s bassist, Robert Trujillo, who is very confident in his son’s talent saying, “He's coming up with stuff on his own, but he's also been influenced by players… It's a beautiful thing to see him confident in what he does.”

Greece is a small and picturesque country, occupying an Alabama-sized 50,000 square miles of mountainous terrain replete with thousands of islands, age-old ruins, and the longest coastline along the Mediterranean Sea. It is home to many ancient traditions that span centuries, like the theatrical art forms of drama, tragedy, and satire that were born there to honor Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, fertility, madness, and ecstasy. Greece is also also the birthplace of direct democracy, a form of government which continues to this day.
