Kenan Thompson To Make SNL History

Before joining Saturday Night Live in 2003, Kenan Thompson was performing in sketch comedy on the Nickelodeon shows “All That” and “Kenan & Kel”. Now, he’s approaching a record 15 seasons on SNL, making history as the longest-running cast member just ahead of the current record-holder, Darrell Hammond. Hammond finally decided to end his run when he didn’t get a role playing anyone in the Obama administration. Thompson struggled his first few years on the show, but finally thrived during his sixth season in 2009 with the introduction of the sketch “What Up With That”. The sketch started when Will Forte yelled, “It’s ‘What’s Up With That!’ Tackling the issues of today with soul. Now, here’s your host: Diondre Cole!”

Greece is a small and picturesque country, occupying an Alabama-sized 50,000 square miles of mountainous terrain replete with thousands of islands, age-old ruins, and the longest coastline along the Mediterranean Sea. It is home to many ancient traditions that span centuries, like the theatrical art forms of drama, tragedy, and satire that were born there to honor Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, fertility, madness, and ecstasy. Greece is also also the birthplace of direct democracy, a form of government which continues to this day.
