Joseph Gordon-Levitt - actor, filmmaker and outspoken cannabis aficionado - turns 35 today. And you can celebrate his birthday by collaborating with him on that film, music or photography project you always wanted to do but never had the cash to finance.

Levitt is also the creator of hitRECord, a collaborative website where aspiring artists can accept challenges in a variety of categories, from animation to interviews. You could see them broadcasted on the show hitRECord on TV, which is hosted by Levitt.

And if you're looking for inspiration, you might consider taking Levitt's approach to the creative process. The Looper star once told Howard Stern that he got the idea for the 2013 film Don Jon while having a few puffs.
