Legendary insult comic Don Rickles - who died last Thursday at the age of 91 - touched a lot of lives despite his gruff demeanor. So it's no surprise that Jimmy Kimmel dedicated his entire Thursday night monologue to celebrating the life and legacy of Rickles.

Kimmel reminisced about his personal as well as professional relationship with Rickles. On top of interviewing Don over the years, the two comedians frequently went out to dinner, where Rickles would tell priceless anecdotes about Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. Rickles also kept in touch by sending sent warm (albeit insulting) letters, which Jimmy read on air.
