'Jay Leno's Garage' Takes A Hemp Sports Car For A Ride

Since the (second) end of his tenure as the host of ’The Tonight Show’, Jay Leno has been indulging his gearhead tendencies as the host of ‘Jay Leno’s Garage’ on CNBC.

On this week’s episode, Leno meets with Bruce Dietzen, President of Renew Sports Cars, and kicks the tires on his passion project - a car made from hemp.

Inspired by Henry Ford’s hemp carDietzen invested $200,000 into building his prototype - though the standard model will only run $40,000.

Based on the clip above, it seems that Jay might not know the difference between hemp and cannabis. But all the same, we're really looking forward to seeing the Renew in action.
