This week, comedic actor Jack Black was awarded what used to be one of show businesses’ highest honors - a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, ensuring his name will be alongside such luminaries as…well, Donald Trump and Bill Cosby, to name just a couple.

But we digress. The distinction remains a potent status symbol in the Hills, cementing one’s legacy and giving us a chance to look back celebrate a career full of great memories.

So, let’s take this opportunity to look back at some of the funnyman’s most memorable marijuana moments.

I Still Know What You Did Last Summer

While Black was still clawing his way up the Hollywood ladder, the actor scored several bit roles in major productions including Tim Burton’s 'Mars Attacks' and 'The Cable Guy' throughout the mid-nineties.

While it’s generally agreed that it was his role in 2000’s 'High Fidelity' that skyrocketed the star into international superstardom, this turn as dreadlocked stoner in 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer,' slipped by just before that, while the actor was still grasping for that shot at top billing.

Bongwater

In this terrible, terrible stoner comedy - so bad, it actually used Andy Dick as a selling point, Luke Wilson plays a stoner slacker who learns about life and love in Portland, Oregon. Snore.

Thankfully, a young Jack Black swoops in the last half of the movie with another great hippie performance, saving the film from being a total write-off.

Tenacious D and The Pick of Destiny

With a few big hits under his belt ('School of Rock,' 'Nacho Libre,' 'King Kong') Black decided to finally return to his roots with this 2006 film, chronicling the fictional rise of his musical group Tenacious D, which is solely comprised of himself and comedian Kyle Gass.

The pair had been performing together since 1994, and had even had a TV series on HBO in the late nineties, but it was in 'The Pick of Destiny' that the duo reached their highest point - both in terms of quality and amount of cannabis consumed.

Getting Doug With High

In a rare drug-centric appearance since Black’s career began skewing younger in the late aughts, starting with the 'Kung Fu Panda' franchise and continuing through to 'Goosebumps' and 'Jumanji,' the actor appeared as a guest on Doug Benson’s podcast 'Getting Doug With High.'

While the actor claims early in the interview that he "generally" doesn’t smoke at all, he then proceeds to get high off his ass for the remainder of the interview. Luckily, they captured the whole thing on video. Watch the podcast in its entirety below.
