Humboldt County grows some of the finest cannabis in the world - now, the world-renowned weed-growing appellation is lending its name to a premium vodka infused with the distinctive, piquant flavour of fresh cannabis.

Using hemp grown by Orhempco Inc., located in Southern Oregon, the spirit's "unique botanical character," as Humboldt Distilleries puts it, is sufficiently smooth to stand in for premium gin in your favourite cocktail recipes.

Sorry, folks: since it's made with industrial hemp, you're not going to get high on it; however, at 80 proof, 40 percent ABV, it's not going to get you not-high, either. And, interestingly, the hemp used to manufacture the vodka comes from among the first legal crops produced in America since restrictions were lifted as part of the 2014 United States Farm Bill.
