If you ever want to hang with Liz Phair, make sure to bring a joint instead of a six pack because the singer/songwriter prefers marijuana to alcohol.

"I was never very much into alcohol, I prefer marijuana," Phair told Joe Rogan while splitting a joint during an appearance on 'The Joe Rogan Experience.'

After a couple hits, the two started theorizing about what causes pot paranoia.

"It's like shining a light on your subconscious - I agree with that*" Phair said. "That is what the paranoia is. It's like people are suddenly self-conscious. They suddenly see themselves in a new way, and they're like, 'I can't handle this after 40 years of denial.'"

After sharing a few giggles and suddenly becoming hyper aware of the set, Phair and Rogan went back to chatting about game hunting, whether time really exists and reflecting on the 25th anniversary of Phair's hit indie rock album 'Exile in Guyville.'
