How Nicola Thorp's Fight Against A Sexist Dress Code Took The World By Storm

It all started when Nicola Thorp reported to work as a temporary receptionist in London wearing flats. Sounds pretty reasonable, right? Except that Nicola's employment agency, Portico, has a dress code that insists that women wear high heels. She was sent home.

Oh, and this happened in 2015. Seriously.

But Nicola wasn't about to let this sexist, outdated dress code stand. She started a petition that eventually netted more than 150,000 signatures and captured the attention of Parliament and the world. Check out the video above to find out what happened next.
