As marijuana legalization becomes the norm throughout North America, there’s also been a boom for cannabis conferences and expos designed to inform people about the industry. Many of these conferences focus on the same old topics and don’t delve deep enough into important areas of the industry, such as cultivation and regulation. Luckily, a new cannabis conference looks to change that.
The Grow Up Cannabis Conference and Expo, presented by Advanced Nutrients, launches on October 6th and 7th at the Scotiabank Centre in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Attendees will listen to over 90 top experts discuss topics about the cannabis industry that often go overlooked at similar events. Grow Up will put a much larger focus on cultivation and processing than other conferences, while also giving in-depth attention to regulations and innovations in the market.
“The focus is giving industry people the opportunity to explore new opportunities,” said Neill Dixon, co-founder of the event. “The Canadian cannabis industry could be worth more than $21.6 billion, and this is the chance to share information and grow the industry.”
The conference is open to anyone in the public over 19 who’s interested in learning more about the cannabis business. Attendees will include people from nearly every aspect of the industry, such as licensed producers, suppliers, equipment manufacturers, investors, government officials, retail owners and more.
The schedule for the conference has already been announced, with events spanning nearly everything you could imagine. Panels will cover anything from cannabis investing, preventing mildew and fungus during cultivation, protecting intellectual property in the industry and much, much more.
Be sure to check out the Women Leaders in Cannabis Breakfast that focuses on the female entrepreneurs who are changing the cannabis industry. As well as the Investing in Cannabis Investors Breakfast -- which is a separate ticketed event -- with operators and potential investors discussing "seed money" across all aspects of the industry.
Keynote speakers include Jesse Stanley (CEO of Stanley Brothers, creators of Charlotte’s Web CBD strain), Mandy McNight, and Jodie Emery.
Anyone who’s interested in the cannabis industry, particularly cultivation, should definitely consider attending the Grow Up conference.
