Google Releases Their Most Popular Searches from 2017

2017 has been an eventful year for the world, that has both helped and hurt people everywhere. The Internet also had an eventful year because people looked to social media and search engines to find answers to all their questions. Most of these people looked to Google specifically to answer their questions and to search certain topics. In 2017, Hurricane Irma, iPhone 8, iPhone X, Matt Lauer, and Meghan Markle were the most searched topics. Google also found that in 2017, the world asked “how” more than ever before. Questions like “How to make a protest sign?”, “How to run for office?”, “How to make a difference?”, “How to be fearless?”, “How to help Puerto Rico/Mexico/Houston/Las Vegas/Syria/refugees?”, and “How to move forward?” were many of the questions people asked to help them cope with this eventful year and move forward.

Cannabidiol, or CBD, has been on the forefront of health and beauty trends for the past couple years and is continuing to pop up everywhere as the market expands and continues to gain momentum. Previously sold by head shops, health food stores, or online retailers, CBD has dramatically entered the mainstream as a health or nutritional supplement, making a splash in the beauty industry as a skin care and cosmetics add-in, as well as in the food industry, garnishing mocktails or lattes for an extra couple bucks each. The health and beauty industries are wont to never miss out on a booming trend, and CBD is no exception.
