Now that's one-stop shopping.
As WKBW reports, one enterprising young Girl Scout is taking cookie sales directly to the people. It started with an Instagram post from San Diego, California dispensary Urbn Leaf:
(GSC refers to the strain that used to be known as Girl Scout Cookies.)
According to the young entrepreneur's dad, she sold upwards of 300 boxes of cookies in about six hours.
Rules and regulations regarding cookie sales are left up to each region. In a statement from 2014 - when another Girl Scout had a similar idea - the Director of Marketing and Communications of the Girl Scouts of Northern California said: "We have not attempted to list either 'permitted' or 'prohibited' locations and have relied on parents and volunteers to make wise decisions for their girls." And that seems to be the M.O. going forward.
So kudos to this young entrepreneur. And if you don't mind, we'd like three boxes of Thin Mints, stat.
