Rapper Freddie Gibbs Weighs In On Cannabis Ice Cream

The market for cannabis edibles is exploding with new products like THC-infused teachicken wings and even ice cream. But not all consumers are happy about the revolution in culinary cannabis. Rapper Freddie Gibbs recently told Pitchfork that he'd rather enjoy his weed in a joint rather than an waffle cone.

"Shit like that is overrated," he said on an instalment of Over/Under, adding that he disliked edibles in general. "I prefer not to eat my weed. I'd rather just smoke that shit. So I know how it's gonna hit me. You eat that shit, you know, there's no way of telling what's gonna happen. You might have a bad trip. Fuck, you might have the shits. And nobody wants the shits off of weed."

Gibbs also weighed in on pet scorpions ("I don't want a pet that can fuck me up"), Chuck E. Cheese ("overrated AF") and truffle oil ("you could sprinkle truffle on anything and it'd taste good").

Rock icon David Crosby is not one to mince words - even when criticizing himself, which is a recurring theme in the new documentary 'David Crosby: Remember My Name.' And he's just as unapologetically candid when the cameras are off, I learned after chatting with Crosby over the phone to discuss the premiere of the doc, which opens this weekend (July 19) in New York and Los Angeles. So far, the doc has received excellent reviews from critics who find his frankness refreshing in an age when so many public figures are afraid to go off script and drop their filters. "Nobody does that anymore," Crosby told Civilized.
