Even Fox News Polls Are Showing a Record Amount of Support for Marijuana Legalization

You would think Fox News would be attacking marijuana at every turn considering their beloved Trump administration may or may not be preparing to crackdown on it. But even they have to admit Americans support it now more than ever.

A new Fox News poll came out showing that 59 percent of Americans support legalizing marijuana. The last time Fox News polled people on the issue was 2015, when 51 percent supported legalizing. That's a pretty dramatic increase in just a two-year span. Most other polls show roughly similar results, with around 60 percent of Americans supporting marijuana legalization.

Perhaps a changing tide is in the air at Fox News when it comes to marijuana. According to the new Fox News poll, there's currently a 46-46 percent split among Republican voters on marijuana legalization. Just two years ago, however, 59 percent of Republicans were against that. So in two years, 13 percent of Republicans have switched to supporting cannabis. So perhaps the cable channel needs to adopt a more pot-friendly attitude if they want to retain their viewers.

Now if only Fox News could start running some programming about why marijuana is actually good for the country, and then President Donald Trump would see it and start supporting the issue!

Nowadays, would your parents still be upset if they caught you consuming cannabis? Parents these days have much more progressive opinions on cannabis, and perhaps if they caught their kids consuming, they wouldn't necessarily punish them. While some parents still want their children to wait until the legal age to consume (if they choose to do so, at all), others don't believe it would be the end of the world if they "caught" their kids smoking pot earlier than that.
