Before he got involved in politics, Donald Trump was known as a billionaire businessman, and he still is. Trump began his career working for his father’s real estate development company and eventually took a leadership position in the 1970s. Then after years of building his business empire, in 2004, Trump made his way into the entertainment industry by hosting a reality TV show, “The Apprentice”, in which contestants vetted for a management position at one of his companies. This role earned him recognition and a number of several other appearances in TV shows and movies. By June 2015, Trump announced his presidential candidacy despite never having held any elected or appointed government office prior.
Before becoming the President of the United States, people only knew Donald Trump from "The Apprentice" and any other appearances he made on TV. Now, people know a lot more about him and have a lot more to say about him. Fortunately for Civilized, we had the opportunity to ask both Trump supporters and opponents attending Politicon the first word that comes to mind when they think of Donald Trump. We heard plenty of answers from the likes of former RNC chairperson Michael Steele, Republican strategist Roger Stone, singer Clay Aiken, The Young Turks' Hasan Piker, and Masha Tiskova from I Clown You.
