Everything Wrong with "Bee Movie" in 15 Minutes or Less

Jerry Seinfeld is one of the world’s funniest and most renown comedians, but after the success of his  sitcom “Seinfeld”, he experienced cinematic failure with his animated film “Bee Movie”. In concept, a family friendly animated film written by Jerry Seinfeld sounds like a box office success, but it became one of the studio’s lowest grossing features. YouTube channel CinemaSins points out everything wrong with the “Bee Movie” in another one of its videos exploiting all movie sins.

First, the film starts out with a narration of a reading, which CinemaSins jokingly calls “narreading”, clearly a movie faux pas, which is followed by the film’s first joke. This joke sets the tone for the rest of the movie, which is essentially an hour and a half of bee puns, and that’s about it. The bees also drive cars, so the film seems like just an animated version of all the things Jerry Seinfeld likes; comedians, cars, and coffee. The remainder of the movie neglects to follow its own logic, so the total movie sin tally for “Bee Movie” is 145.

Lots of people enjoy unwinding with a joint after a hard day's work, but for Perry Farrell, getting high is just another part of his job as a rock singer. The frontman of the alternative rock group Jane's Addiction likens the role of the musician to a shaman, whose job is to explore altered states of consciousness. "When you're going out there [onstage] as a shaman - as a witch doctor, you need to step into the fifth dimension," Farrell told Pitchfork in the latest edition of their 'Over/Under' series.
