President Donald Trump is known for a lot of things, but being a loyal and dutiful husband is not one of them. And it appears he has not desire to change that image.
Trump called into Fox and Friends, one of his favorite cable news shows, right after his nominee for Veterans Affairs Secretary withdrew from consideration for allegations of unprofessional behavior. But Trump said that's not why he was calling in! No, instead, he said he was calling in to wish his wife, Melania Trump, happy birthday.
The Fox and Friends hosts then did what any TV host would do and asked what the president got his wife for her birthday. After a pause, Trump replied, "Well, I better not get into that because I may get in trouble. Maybe I didn't get her so much."
He then said he got her beautiful flowers and a card. He then said, "You know, I'm too busy to be running out looking for presents."
Here's a clip of the conversation:

Now, no one's expecting the President of the United States of America to run to the mall to buy a present. But he's got plenty of people working around him to do so. Doesn't the White House have interns? Also, you're a billionaire! You can't afford to get your wife something nicer than flowers and a card?
Also, who would be stupid enough to admit that publicly? Especially when you've been accused of cheating on your wife with adult film stars?
And yet somehow this isn't even close to Trump's worst moment.
