President Donald Trump is currently embroiled in an investigation into whether his campaign colluded with the Russian government to manipulate the 2016 election. But according to Trump, his alleged crimes are simply "fighting back."
Many people are accusing the president of obstructing justice when it comes to the investigation into his 2016 campaign. But Trump took to Twitter to explain that what he's done isn't "obstructing justice" but rather "fighting back."
The Russia Witch Hunt is rapidly losing credibility. House Intelligence Committee found No Collusion, Coordination or anything else with Russia. So now the Probe says OK, what else is there? How about Obstruction for a made up, phony crime. There is no O, it’s called Fighting Back— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 7, 2018
Of course, multiple people have been indicted or this "made up, phony crime," which would seem to mean it's not made up or phony. Also, innocent people don't have to "fight back" when they're accused of a crime. They simply have to show they did nothing wrong.
Trump also tweeted that the court system will protect him.
The 13 Angry Democrats in charge of the Russian Witch Hunt are starting to find out that there is a Court System in place that actually protects people from injustice...and just wait ‘till the Courts get to see your unrevealed Conflicts of Interest!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 7, 2018
For a guy who claims to have done nothing wrong, he seems incredibly preoccupied by the investigation.
Perhaps a case of protesting too much?
