Beyoncé is a singer, songwriter, dancer, actor, and one of the greatest entertainers in the world. Before Beyoncé became the award winning and record breaking artist that she is today, she was being groomed for stardom. At just seven years old, Beyoncé Knowles began singing, dancing, and performing in talent shows, where she was eventually put into a group with Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson, and LeToya Luckett. The group started as Girl’s Tyme but changed to Destiny’s Child by the time they signed with Columbia in 1997. Destiny’s Child released its debut album in 1997, which became a success with hits like “Say My Name” and “Jumpin’ Jumpin’”. Beyoncé was clearly becoming the standout of the group, which soon changed as Roberson and Luckett were replaced with Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin, who left within a year. Beyoncé continued to become the focus of Destiny’s Child with their successful hits “Independent Woman Pt. 1”, “Survivor”, and “Bootylicious”. This led Beyoncé to appear in “Austin Powers in Goldmember” and eventually release her debut solo album “Dangerously in Love”. This album was the beginning of Beyoncé’s solo career, which has transformed music and entertainment with “I Am… Sasha Fierce”, “Beyoncé”, and “Lemonade”. Now, Beyoncé is set to star in “The Lion King” as the voice of Nala, after just coming off of the success of her visual album “Lemonade”, which received a Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary Album.
While Beyoncé has transformed music and entertainment, she has certainly been around marijuana because Jay-Z is known for smoking. He says cannabis has actually helped him creatively, “I smoked some weed, and that's how I finished 'Izzo.'” Jay-Z isn’t the only consumer Beyoncé is close with though, because Lady Gaga admits that she can smoke up to 15 joints a day. Lady Gaga also admits that these joints actually may have caused Beyoncé to panic, “That was the night I gave Beyoncé, like, a panic attack.I don’t know, I just always feel like when I’m with her and Jay-Z, I’m always like hanging out in the corner with like nine joints hanging out of my mouth being like, ‘Whaaaaat’s up?!’ and she’s like, ‘You’re not a lady but why? How is this working?’”
