DIY Enthusiast Makes His Volvo Play Toto’s ‘Africa’ When The Doors Are Open

Today in useless but kind of amazing DIY projects, an enterprising fan of smooth music went full Xzibit on his trusty Volvo 240. After removing the electronic piece that makes the door chime sound - you know, the high pitched beep that alerts drivers to an open door - Chris NG replaces it with a blue box marked Toto. The result? When he opens the door, 8 Bit Universe’s cover of Toto’s 1982 smash ‘Africa’ plays instead. Check it out above.

It’s unclear if Chris NG decided to keep this modification, or if it got annoying really quickly. But it’s delightful either way.

Now if you’ll excuse me - it’s time for a Toto break:

Last December, America officially legalized hemp with the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill. The new law is a game-changer for the agricultural industry in America as farmers can now start growing and selling the non-intoxicating cannabis crop across the country. But it will be a while before the United States can top the world's biggest hemp producer.
