Last weekend the Lift Expo in Vancouver attracted over 14,000 attendees, including experts, enthusiasts, patients and canna-curious locals who explored offerings from nearly 200 exhibitors, ranging from licensed producers to dispensaries to accessory retailers to legal consultants. They gathered together at the Vancouver Convention Centre, on the waterfront of Coal Harbour. Check out the recap video above!

Most of the weekends action took place on the 90,000 square-foot showroom floor, where guests were treated to live music, a career fair, the vape lounge, a main stage and demo area with presenting experts, attracting visitors back for the second day.

Some highlights from this year’s Lift Expo in Vancouver include:

The Up Lounge

Up Cannabis, who partnered with The Tragically Hip, set up a stage for live entertainment, while also providing attendees plenty of comfy spots to take a load off. Performers Youngblood, Little Destroyer and local DJ Vinyl Ritchie kept the scene lively.

Cooking Demo With Cody “the Wellness Soldier” Lindsay

On Saturday and Sunday afternoon, Cody “The Wellness Soldier” Lindsay filled the demo area with the tantalizing scents of cannabis-infused cuisine. Chef Cody prepared a few recipes from his cookbook, Cooking with Cannabis, including a feta and sun-dried tomato burger with tzatziki sauce, and a side salad with vinaigrette.

Her Roots Panel, Main Stage

The main stage was the center of some of the weekend’s most exciting conversations, such as the Her Roots: Leadership in Cannabis Grassroots Initiatives panel discussion. Led by Canopy Growth's Hilary Black, director of patient education and advocacy at Canopy Growth; Annie MacEachern, communications consultant; National Access Cannabis's Diandra Phipps; Flower & Freedom's Bethany Rae and NORML Canada and Tweed Main Street's Abigail Sampson,

The Vape Lounge

The Vape Lounge is always one of the hot spots at each Lift Expo. The Lounge introduced guests to some of the newest vape units on the market. This year’s sponsors were Pax, DaVinci, Greenlane and Vapium.

If you missed this year's Vancouver Lift Expo, don’t worry. The next Lift Expo comes to Toronto on May 25-27, 2018.
