Celebs Use CBD To Deal With Red Carpet Aches and Pains

It’s a new year, which means it’s time for awards season, those months where we’re distracted from the cold winter by watching beautiful celebrities adorn one another with shiny, gold prizes.

If you love red carpet pre-shows, you’ve probably wondered, “just how do these beautiful people stay upright all day - especially in stilettos?” - we may have an answer.

That’s right: Everyone’s favorite cannabis compound, CBD.

Following last night's Golden Globes, E! Style expert Zanna Roberts Rassi told The Sun that many stars use CBD cream on their feet, “because it numbs the pain”.

Rassi even goes on to drop names. Apparently Michelle Williams ('Venom', 'Manchester by the Sea') swears by a brand called Lord Jones. We’ve also recommended Lord Jones for running.

So, celeb-watchers and star gazers, take heart: Even if you can’t be on the red carpet in sunny California, you can still relax at home like your Hollywood faves.

Few other entrepreneurs in the cannabis space have their hands in quite as many ventures as Lorne Gertner. Currently dubbed the "godfather of the Canadian cannabis industry," Gertner told Civilized, "If we could live through normalization, we could change the world." Hailing from the fashion industry, this Toronto native says he's on a mission to "make the world a better place through cannabis and design excellence." The only catch is, well, normalizing cannabis — and that's where Gertner's keen eye for style comes in. "In the old days, you were going to be different or you were going to be normal," said Thom Antonio, Gertner's friend, creative director, and collaborator of 35 years.
