The mainstream presidential candidates always garner the most endorsements from high profile celebrities. But this year's third party presidential candidates Gary Johnson (Libertarian) and Jill Stein (Green) have also garnered support from some notable names. Here are their most interesting celebrity backers.

1. Penn and Teller (Johnson)

The comic magicians both support Johnson even though they might end up voting for someone else. Last March, Penn Jillette - who once appeared on Trump's Celebrity Apprenticetold Newsweek that he's a Johnson supporter, but he'll back Hillary if necessary to prevent The Donald from becoming president.

"If it comes down to Trump and Hillary, I will put a Hillary Clinton sticker on my fucking car,” he said.

Meanwhile, Teller announced that he donated the max amount to Johnson's campaign, but he didn't say that he would back up that support with a vote.

2. Larry the Cable Guy (Johnson)

The blue collar comedian gave Gary Johnson a tepid endorsement during an appearance on FOX and Friends last August. "I'm a Trump man. And when I say 'Trump man' I mean Gary Johnson," he said before explaining that he liked a lot of what The Donald said but was leaning Libertarian.

But Johnson was overjoyed to receive the mixed endorsement.

3. Krist Novoselic (Johnson)

The former Nirvana bassist and political activist endorsed the Libertarian presidential ticket during a June interview with Lisa Kennedy Montgomery of the FOX Business Network. "These are viable candidates. They're experienced lawmakers. They have executive experience," he said of Johnson (former governor of New Mexico) and his running mate Bill Weld (former governor of Massachusetts).

6. Killer Mike (Johnson or Stein)

Rapper Killer Mike is one of many Bernie Sanders supporters who decided to back third party candidates after Hillary Clinton beat The Bern for the Democratic nomination. But the hip hop star hasn't decided which fringe candidate he'll pick.

"[I]f you don’t want any war, you’d be voting Jill Stein," he told Pitchfork last August. "If you want less government and war, you’d be voting Gary Johnson. But if you’re voting for Trump or Hillary Clinton, you’re voting for the same thing. All of us, as citizens, need to kind of get over our classisms and vote for the betterment of us all."

7. Viggo Mortensen (Stein)

The Lord of the Rings star says that anyone who wants to see the first female president in U.S. history should vote for Stein.

“If you want a woman then vote for Jill Stein,” he told The Daily Beast last July. “If you really want a woman president—if that’s what you want—vote for Jill Stein. I trust Hillary about as much as I trust Donald Trump. I think she’s dishonest, I don’t think she has the interests of working people at heart, and I think she’s shown that time and again. All the things that Bernie Sanders said about her I agree with.”

8. Susan Sarandon (Stein)

Earlier this week, the Stein campaign published an endorsement letter written by Academy Award winning actor Susan Sarandon.

"I'm...very happy to endorse Jill Stein for the presidency," Sarandon wrote. "It's clear a third party is necessary and viable at this time. And this is the first step in accomplishing this end. Fear of Donald Trump is not enough for me to support Clinton, with her record of corruption. Now that Trump is self-destructing, I feel even those in swing states have the opportunity to vote their conscience."

9. Oliver Stone (Stein)

The Academy Award-winning director and Vietnam veteran endorsed Stein because he feels that she will keep America from intervening in more foreign conflicts.

"My thing is war," Stone told Wired last September. "I’m always worried about war. Whether it’s cyber or hot. The US keeps intervening, and I don’t think that’s Trump’s way. He says stupid things like “We are going to build the greatest military”—when we have the greatest military. We spend three times more than anyone else. So that kind of talk is crazy. But I worry about Hillary Clinton the same way. She has been regime-change all the way. I will vote for Jill Stein."

10. Isaiah Washington (Stein)
